DGfI, founded in 1967, has more than 2,400 members active in basic immunological research or clinical immunology. The scientific activities of the DGfI are organized in 16 study groups. The DGfI organizes annual congresses with approximately 1000 participants, at intervals also together with other European societies, in order to advance the networking of immunologists within Europe. There are also small bilateral meetings.
We are extremely pleased to award the German Immunology Award 2022 to Özlem Türeci, Uğur Şahin and Katalin Karikó. We honour them for their cutting-edge work in the field of cancer and SARS-CoV-2 vaccine development. The press release is available in German only.

We offer education and training for all levels from beginners to postdocs in the three modules of our Academy of Immunology.

This forum offers young immunologists within DGfI the opportunity to advance topics of particular relevance to them.
