Immunity & COVID-19: From bench to bedside
The COVID-19 pandemic has heavily affected global health and society in an unprecedented manner and sparked research activities in many disciplines. The immune system plays a key role in fighting COVID-19. This year’s annual meeting of the working group ‘Immunology of Infection’ of the German Society of Immunology (DGfI) and the German Society of Hygiene and Microbiology (DGHM) offers society members and interested scientists a timely update on the interaction of SARS-CoV-2 with the immune system. The virtual symposium will cover mechanisms of SARS-CoV-2 entry, experimental animal models, innate and adaptive immune responses to SARS-CoV-2 infection and will inform about the status of vaccine developments.
