The AKDC was founded on September 28, 2016 as part of the 46th Annual Meeting of the German Society for Immunology in Hamburg. Currently, Björn Clausen (Mainz) and Anne Krug (Munich) are the elected speaker and co-speaker of the study group. The AKDC is interested in all aspects of DC and macrophage biology – from ontogeny and tissue homeostasis to T-cell priming and immune regulation, including strategies to harness these cells in cancer and autoimmune disease therapy. To this end, we particularly want to promote the collaboration and networking between young scientists who work on these topics.
At present, the study group has 320 members.
