The School
The Translational Immunology Schools (TIS) up to now were great success stories with participants from both academic research as well as clinical research institutions and industry. The topics covered include developments in diagnostics, new research technologies, modern immune intervention and new immune therapeutic principles. Furthermore, we discussed the current status on stem cell therapy, gene therapy and immune therapy of tumors as well as transplantation tolerance in the last translational schools.
Participants have the chance to present their own work in the form of posters. Please let us know with your application whether or not you are interested in a poster presentation. Abstracts and biosketches of all lecturers will be sent to you before the start of the school.

The location and the venue
Kongresshotel Potsdam, Am Luftschiffhafen 1, 14471 Potsdam
The Kongresshotel Potsdam is located on the site of the former airship harbour on Lake Templin in the charming forest and lake landscape of Pirschheide. From the hotel, you can be in the centre of the Brandenburg state capital in 10 minutes and in Berlin in around half an hour.
Potsdam resembles an island in the middle of the Havel's wooded chain of lakes and is the calling card of the metropolitan region's historically evolved cultural landscape. Right on the doorstep of the capital, you can enjoy UNESCO World Heritage Sites, find undisturbed peace and quiet, experience nature along the cycling and hiking trails around the lake, walk in the footsteps of history or go on a discovery and adventure tour in the turbulent metropolis of Berlin.
