Spring School

Registration Spring School

The lectures will be held in the Ettal monastery. Due to limited space the number of participants is restricted to 60. In general, we receive more applications than available places and in this case, the organizing committee selects the participants.

Selection criteria are:

  • Level of education
  • Number of applicants from a city/university/institute etc.

Students who are at the start of their careers are generally recommended to attend the Autumn School first.

Please register here for the Spring School for regular participation. You will be notified approx. 2 weeks after the deadline has passed whether your registration has been successful.

Please note that by submitting an application to the school you agree to the following:

  • We reserve the right to take photos during the course. Participants will receive a link to a password-protected gallery. Selected images will also be used for the work of the DGfI Academy on its website and in other publications
  • Your details (surname, first name, email address, home institution, your picture, abstract and poster) will be published in the brochure. This will be made available to participants as a PDF file via a link shortly before the start of the school.

What should be included in the abstract:

Title, your name, supervisor, institute, city, country. 200–300 words about your project with some background information, preliminary work done by your laboratory, your own results (if already available) and an outlook for the project. Please do not include any images or references. Please send only a Word document

    The participation fee includes accommodation, meals, all lectures and practical sessions.
    We will take care of booking your accommodation during the spring school. You only need to organise your own travel.

    The standard accommodation for all participants is in triple rooms.
    If you would prefer to stay in a single or double room, we can arrange this for you. Please inform us by email at springschool@dgfi.org.

    • Single rooms are available at an additional cost.
    • The additional cost must be paid directly at the hotel upon arrival.
    • The availability of single rooms is limited and rooms will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
