With this forum, the young immunologists are to be more strongly integrated into DGfI. The goals are, among other things, scientific exchange, early professional networking, career development and the exchange of methods. The YI are actively involved in the organisation of the DGfI annual conferences. The Chairperson is a co-opted member of the DGfI Advisory Board.

This forum was founded in order to integrate former presidents and general secretaries into our society after their terms of office have expired and to preserve their expertise for the society. The Senators advise the Board in problematic situations. The Chairman is a co-opted member of the DGfI Advisory Board.
