DGfI, founded in 1967, has more than 2,400 members active in basic immunological research or clinical immunology. The scientific activities of the DGfI are organized in 16 working groups. The DGfI organizes annual congresses with approximately 1000 participants, at intervals also together with other European societies, in order to advance the networking of immunologists within Europe. There are also small bilateral meetings. A brief overview of our current structures and activities can be found in our brochure ‘Immunology in Germany‘.
