50 years German Society of Immunology (DGfI) - we took this anniversary in 2017 as an opportunity to start publishing a magazine in German in order to bring immunology closer to a broad readership.
The journal 'immunologie' aims to match the great public interest in immunological questions with the scientific complexity of this subject, which is so important for medicine - we touch topics ranging from infectious diseases and vaccines to allergies and rheumatic diseases to oncology and genetics. On the one hand, the journal serves as a practical further education course for physicians and scientists, but on the other hand it is also intended to make the contents of immunology widely known beyond one's own professional boundaries. As the official organ of the German Society of Immunology e. V. (DGfI), the magazine also informs about current events and activities of the DGfI (as previously done via the annual Immunological News, see archive in the members area).
The journal is published in cooperation with the medical publisher Trillium. Of the total circulation of 8,000 copies, 2,500 copies go to the DGfI members, including the majority of heads of departments, institutes and clinics with an immunological focus (e.g. allergology, dermatology, gastroenterology, rheumatology, pharmacology). The journal also reaches the members of the German Society for Allergology and Clinical Immunology (1,400), chief and senior physicians in haematology, oncology, gynaecology and medical tumor therapy (2,600). 1,500 copies are distributed to partner associations (e.g. DGHM, DGKL, DGTI, GfH, GfV) and at relevant congresses.
Due to the requirements of the Heilmittelwerbegesetz (HWG - German Drug Advertising Act), we can only provide you on freely accessible pages with individual articles (via the pages of the Trillium publisher). DGfI members can download the entire PDF in the password-protected members' area.
