Postdoc Position
The Department of Immunology – Medical School of the Friedrich-Schiller-
Universität Jena (UKJ) invites applications for a postdoc position.

 
Salary:
approximately € 45,000 depending on experience.
 
Starting date:
 
May 2012
 
Our lab is mainly interested in arthritis, IL-33R-signalling and sepsis.
 
Of particular interest are immunologists (Ph.D. or M.D.) with proven expertise
in biochemistry, molecular biology or cellular immunology. Furthermore,
researchers interested in interactions of the immune system with the nervous
system will allow us to complement our interdisciplinary network. However,
excellence in research, demonstrated by high-quality publications is more
important than the area of research. The primary criteria for appointment will
be previous scientific performance as well as a high potential for rigorous and
substantial research and fruitful collaboration.
The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. or M.D. degree and join an
interactive group of researchers in state-of-the-art research facilities with
cutting edge equipment. The position offers the opportunity to mentor
graduate students with a strong interest in basic science and translational
research.
